Premios Tony 2018: Noche de premios y polémicas
Anoche día 10 de junio, fue la edición número 72 de los Premios Tony 2018 (los que celebran las victorias del teatro estadounidense del momento actual), donde hubo gratas sorpresas en obras como The Curse Child para los amantes de la saga juvenil de Harry Potter o The Band´s visit, el musical del año que ha arrasado Broadway, entre otros.
Sin embargo, no todo fue sonrisas y lágrimas. Hubo un momento especialmente tenso cuando Robert de Niro, que entregaba uno de los premios, insultó abiertamente al presidente de EEUU Donald Trump sin ningún tipo de censura ni aviso previo a los organizadores del evento, dejando claro su opinión sobre el presidente a varios millones de espectadores en directo. La gala continuó con su curso, teñido de críticas políticas y sorpresas, como la que dio el musical Mean Girls, que no se llevó ningún galardón a pesar de sus doce nominaciones.
